Remarkable Comeback for Elf Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99 at the Opening Round of the FIM EWC Le Mans, France – April 21, 2025 The Elf Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99 demonstrated outstanding resilience and teamwork at the 2025 edition of the 24 Heures Motos, the opening round of the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC), held on the legendary Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans. Comprising Randy de Puniet, Florian Marino, and Jérémy Guarnoni, the team faced extremely challenging conditions, with unpredictable weather and over 200 crashes recorded during the race. After a cautious start from P8 on a very wet track, Jérémy Guarnoni quickly moved up to P5, taking advantage of a drying racing line. However, the rain returned abruptly, leading to multiple crashes, including incidents involving both Florian and Randy. The final crash required major repairs, which were expertly carried out by our technical crew. Following the incident, the team dropped back to P46. Despite this setback, our riders and staff never gave up. Throughout the night and well into the final hours of the race, the team mounted a steady comeback, ultimately finishing P13 overall and scoring 13 valuable championship points. This performance is the result of relentless commitment, exemplary teamwork, and shared passion. In an edition where nearly 25% of the teams failed to reach the checkered flag and almost all competitors made mistakes, the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99 can be proud of bringing this grueling race to a successful conclusion. We sincerely thank our supporters for their continued encouragement and our partners for their loyal support. Next stop: the 8 Hours of Spa Motos, coming up on June 6th and 7th at our home circuit, Spa-Francorchamps.
