8 Hours of Suzuka: KM99 Continues its Progress in the Land of the Samurai. The next round of the FIM Motorcycle Endurance World Championship took place in Japan. The entire #KM99 team flew over with determination to participate in the 2023 8 Hours of Suzuka. The land of the samurai offered us a treasure trove of images and memories. The spirit and respect of the Japanese crowd were truly exceptional. It was an honor for us to be able to take part in this legendary race. Starting from the 23rd position, our progress during the race was very encouraging. After 5 hours of racing, we managed to climb up to the 15th position, in line with our initial goal. However, during the final lap of a stint by Lucas Mahias, a fuel shortage forced our rider to walk the bike back. Unfortunately, we were just a few centiliters short of reaching the pit. What a pity. "Without this setback, we could have aimed for a top 10 finish. The Japanese gods didn't favor us..." Our adventure concludes in the 28th position. Once again, we've learned a lot from our mistakes. Certainly, this mishap comes at a cost, but as always, we draw lessons from it, and our team improves. The entire KM99 team is immensely proud to have crossed the finish line of this incredible race. The Team expresses its gratitude to its riders and mechanics, whose relentless work under extreme conditions was truly admirable. A big thank you also goes to our partners Yamaha, Dunlop, and Motul for their unwavering support. The next rendezvous is set for the Bol d'Or on September 14th, where new opportunities await us.
